I read an article posted on a self improvement blog site from two years ago that had this same headline and the list of 10 things to do below. The most interesting thing about the post was that there were about 420 comments, many several paragraphs in length.
The author hit a nerve I believe in his assertions that confidence can be improved by a combination of attitudes and behavior as stated in this list:
1. Dress Sharp
2. Walk Faster
3. Good Posture
4. Personal Commercial
5. Gratitude
6. Compliment other people
7. Sit in the front row
8. Speak up
9. Work out
10. Focus on contribution
His lead in stated the following:
“Self confidence is the difference between feeling unstoppable and feeling scared out of your wits. Your perception of yourself has an enormous impact on how others perceive you. Perception is reality — the more self confidence you have, the more likely it is you’ll succeed.”
For the network marketer, when trying to win over people into your business or convey any sense of leadership ability, you must be aware that people have a keen sense of your confidence. It’s like a sixth sense. It may be subtle, but people can sense it and they are watching for it.
Lack of confidence is very difficult to hide if you don’t have it. People are looking to invest in someone who conveys leadership qualities, one being that of confidence.
So you can say that your degree of success is in part, tied to your degree of self confidence. Your degree of self confidence is also reflective of how you handle fear, doubts and worries. Your ability to act on those perceived fears gives you a sense of confidence that can be perceived through your attitude and actions.
The key thought is whether you perceive anything as fear and to what degree. Something may be fearful to most people, but to you, it may be no big deal. The way you handle it conveys your sense of confidence that people see.
So if you are fearless you will always be perceived as confident. One must therefore look upon their thoughts without fear and they will develop a demeanor that is seen as confident. Sounds too simple right?
The difference between outright fear and feeling unstoppable is a state of mind that is hard to completely erase with simply putting on nice clothes or walking quickly. Thoughts change constantly.
Your ability to feel confident has to do with both your feelings of fear and your feelings of self worth. Subconscious thoughts of self doubt and self worth can sabotage you and limit your ability to counter your sense of fear in any given situation.
So when someone is perceived as not having self confidence, is what they are also seeing their self esteem? Yes, but acting courageously can be your ability to be confident while on the inside battling your feelings of self worth.
Your negative thoughts don’t always have to hold you back. It’s how you decide to act upon them that determines your confidence and how you are perceived.
Let’s say you are in a bar, you see an attractive person across the room and you’re buddy urges you to go over and ask her to dance. In fact, he challenges you. Your feeling of fear goes through the roof. You fear that you will be rejected and look like a fool in front of everyone.
Public humiliation (in the form of looking stupid while public speaking) is the number one fear of most Americans. Your voice of self esteem kicks in reminding you of what happened the last time you did such a thing. You replay the tapes and getting a chill over your body. You react with emotional pain and a decision not to risk it again for fear of experiencing this feeling of pain once again.
However, if you are a rejection junkie with extremely low self esteem, you will indeed go over to the person, get rejected, and then subconsciously affirm that you were right. Your low self esteem part of your brain said to you that there’s no way you can succeed with that woman. That you are not successful because of your ongoing negative thought patterns and its no time to start changing your thinking! Because that is who you are!
Now, let’s say the friend who challenged you decides to go over and ask the same woman to dance. Does he have fear? Perhaps. Does he look confident?
Yes. But he made the decision to act upon his perceived fears. He dismissed his thoughts of inaction because he dismissed the thoughts as being irrational and he had the power to control his own thoughts by dismissing them and to conquer them. The woman agreed to dance with him in part because he exuded self confidence. For it was not a reason for rejecting his offer had she chose.
Is having high self confidence merely a protective shield against feelings of fear? It is if you’re faking it. People can pretend and sometimes get away with it. But to not address the self sabotaging thoughts through internal dialogue will result in that suppressed deep down feeling of lacking confidence to persist.
Courage is the opposite of fearful. Courage is a perceived attribute one has when judging other’s attitude and behavior. Courage is “feeling the fear and doing it anyway”.
Afterwards, you can meditate and address your thoughts of fear so that next time you can always do “it” – without the fear – confidently.
“Somehow I can’t believe that there are any heights that can’t be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C s. They are curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.” – Walt Disney

If you are a reserved person the idea of networking and meeting people to tell them about your business can strike absolute terror in your soul. However, networking still remains a productive way for many sellers to help increase their leads base and grow their businesses. The following steps can help reserved professionals become more effective networkers:
1. Recognize and deal with the aspects of networking that bother you most. For example, if you’re scared of meeting people, begin by practicing with friends and family members.. Tell them about your interests, training and abilities. Or, if you’re worried about becoming tongue-tied, role-play your meetings until you feel confident about what to say.
2. Get very comfortable with your 30-second “commercial” so whenever you have the opportunity to tell it to someone it just rolls off your tongue. The commercial should included what you do, your specialty, what problem you can solve with your services, etc. It should let the person understand immediately what you do, your particular specialty (niche) and how it can help a particular problem. Think of it as your “verbal logo.”
For instance, when that person you’ve just given your verbal logo to sees you across the room, they should be able to easily identify you with what you do. Even though it will be rehearsed, be sure that you don’t sound that way. The easiest way is to have a couple of versions you can choose from at the last minute. This also helps if you’re standing with people whom you’ve given your verbal logo to and a new person walks up. You can introduce yourself and give a slightly different verbal logo so it doesn’t sound identical to the rest of the group. It should sound conversational and clear.
3. Make calls when your energy is highest. If you know that you’re more upbeat after lunch, save phone calls until then and use the morning for administrative tasks.
4. Know what you want to say when calling. Develop a script that includes your key points and use it to make sure you mention important items. Many introverts have difficulty making small talk. By learning about your contacts and their companies, you can direct your conversations and make them more meaningful.
5. Take time out to replenish yourself. Plan your schedule so that you have periods of solitude that allow you to recharge. For instance, don’t schedule a full day’s activities if you plan to network at an evening event.
While you don’t have to change yourself, you’ll need to learn extroverted skills and behaviors to become a more effective networker. Like an acquired taste, your appreciation for networking may grow. And when you start receiving the benefits, your appetite for it may even increase.

It’s obvious that if you don’t have a website then it’s going to be pretty tough to do business online. And I’m going to briefly tell you why the company provided website will never work to build your business online.
The company provided website is useful as a tool to educate your prospects once you have already captured their information and they are in your campaign. That’s about it. The reason why you need your own website is because you HAVE to position yourself as different from everyone else. Otherwise, what reasons do people have to join you?
Remember the reasons why people would join you in your business? How different are you if you go and enter your name in a form to get the same website everyone else and their uncle has? You’re not very different. Furthermore, those websites are not capture pages. They do not generate leads. Make no mistake, the most important thing to grow and expand your business is to constantly be generating new leads. Endless leads means endless business growth. When you discover how you can create endless leads at will, you created a system that will produce you endless money at will.
Hands down, that is the essence of what network marketing is about. It’s all about the leads. So the reason why most company specific pages don’t work is because:
1. They are terrible at generating leads. They have poor lead conversion rates.
2. They are mass duplicated systems, meaning everyone knows they are basically going to get the same thing. They are going to opt in and get the same boring emails about the company’s financial history, the market trends, and the same stuff they hear from every other company.
3. The auto responder system set up on those pages will not suffice to do the job we need to get done. Plus the page is not capturing leads anyway, and I would never spend my hard earned money to send people to my website if the website was only a fraction as productive as one I could build myself.
Hence the reason you need to create your own website.
Now there are two different versions of websites that you can create for our purposes of capturing leads on the internet. I am going to cover them both and tell you what situations you want to use them both in.
1. A squeeze page. A squeeze page is a website that is 100% created with the purpose of doing nothing other then capturing a lead. It is meant to squeeze a person’s information in the quickest and most effective way possible. Squeeze pages are well oiled funnels that lead a person directly to the desired action you want them to take. In this case, it is leaving their contact information in exchange for the information they want from you.
2. A content page. A content page is more like your typical full blown website. A content page is generally less productive at converting leads, but very useful for many reasons none the less. In particular when it comes to generating a certain type of traffic which I will be talking about later on. Not only that but you can load your content page with all sorts of ways to capture people’s emails and generate opt ins. Once you have the traffic…the possibilities are endless.
In order to do internet network marketing successful I suggest you personally create both of these different types of websites. Your priority however, is absolutely on a squeeze page.
If you just had a squeeze page, you could still get by A LOT better, but a full blown content website comes in very handy on the back end of your campaign. A content website is essential for one other task, and that is Search Engine Optimization. Search Engine Optimization is a term that stands for your website being ranked highly in the major search engines. Since search engines are getting very competitive now a days, the only way sites get ranked very highly at all is by having LOTS of relevant and targeted information.
A squeeze page would never do it. So if you want to take total advantage of the internet to build a network marketing organization, I recommend tackling both of these website projects and utilizing all of it to its fullest potential.

When I first got into business online, I didn’t really know what it meant to be a network marketer or be involved in multi-level marketing (MLM). I wanted to sell a product and a service that would eventually generate a good residual income for me. It is becoming clearer to me now as I get into network marketing that it does take a certain kind of person with certain skills to excel in this business, but if you’ve got the desire, passion, energy, and commitment to be successful at it, then anyone can do it!
Network marketing, or multi-level marketing is about people. It’s about building and team – a downline – and teaching them to be successful like you. Yes, there are different levels in the organization you build, but that’s not to say that all network marketing endeavors are pyramid schemes. As long as there is something of value being offered in the program and it’s not a program designed to pay only those higher up in the pyramid, then you are pretty safe.
Once you are into a network marketing program, you have to work on yourself and your own success before you can hope to achieve success with others you recruit. The problem is that many people are attracted to the big money aspect of it, and hope to make it big with little effort on their own part. Once you’re in, you have to make a commitment to yourself and your program, no matter what big hitters are above you, and you have to work it like any other business. This will take time, and you have to be willing to invest that time, and believe that in time you will see the results you seek.
Believing is huge in this industry because you start with a dream. There is a reason you got involved in network marketing, and one of the big reasons might be that you want to be a millionaire. The trick is to believe and feel that you already are, even if you’re far from it. This kind of positive attitude must be maintained, even though everyone will go through good times and bad in their businesses. If you love what you do, you will be able to maintain a healthy attitude and the discipline needed to propel you to greatness.
Most people think that network marketing is about making sales when really it is about relationships with your prospects, your customers, and your team. The best way to be confident about relationship building and team-building is to educate yourself and develop the skills you need to succeed. A lot of it has to do with conquering your fears about talking to new prospects by analyzing what the fear really is and developing the skills you need through practice and repetition. Part of relationship building is also to be a leader to your team and knowing how to handle objections to your offers, or excuses for not joining. Being prepared with a list of questions for your prospects will help you deal effectively with their issues.
Network marketing can be a business for those who are willing to work at it. Money won’t grow on trees, so if you want to be successful at it, then take the time to learn, grow, energize yourself, love yourself and what you do, and carry yourself and your team to the top!
Several times my daughter had telephoned to say, “Mother, you must to see the daffodils before they are over.” I wanted to go, but it was a two-hour drive from Laguna to Lake Arrowhead “I will come next Tuesday”, I promised a little reluctantly on her third call.
Next Tuesday dawned cold and rainy. Still, I had promised, and reluctantly I drove there. When I finally walked into Carolyn’s house I was welcomed by the joyful sounds of happy children. I delightedly hugged and greeted my grandchildren.
“Forget the daffodils, Carolyn! The road is invisible in these clouds and fog, and there is nothing in the world except you and these children that I want to see badly enough to drive another inch!”
My daughter smiled calmly and said, “We drive in this all the time, Mother.” “Well, you won’t get me back on the road until it clears, and then I’m heading for home!” I assured her.
“But first we’re going to see the daffodils. It’s just a few blocks,” Carolyn said. “I’ll drive. I’m used to this.”
“Carolyn,” I said sternly, “Please turn around.” “It’s all right, Mother, I promise. You will never forgive yourself if you miss this experience.”
After about twenty minutes, we turned onto a small gravel road and I saw a small church. On the far side of the church, I saw a hand lettered sign with an arrow that read, ” Daffodil Garden .” We got out of the car, each took a child’s hand, and I followed Carolyn down the path. Then, as we turned a corner, I looked up and gasped. Before me lay the most glorious sight.

It looked as though someone had taken a great vat of gold and poured it over the mountain peak and its surrounding slopes. The flowers were planted in majestic, swirling patterns, great ribbons and swaths of deep orange, creamy white, lemon yellow, salmon pink, and saffron and butter yellow. Each different-colored variety was planted in large groups so that it swirled and flowed like its own river with its own unique hue. There were five acres of flowers.
“Who did this?” I asked Carolyn. “Just one woman,” Carolyn answered. “She lives on the property. That’s her home.” Carolyn pointed to a well-kept A-frame house, small and modestly sitting in the midst of all that glory. We walked up to the house.
On the patio, we saw a poster. “Answers to the Questions I Know You Are Asking”, was the headline. The first answer was a simple one. “50,000 bulbs,” it read. The second answer was, “One at a time, by one woman Two hands, two feet, and one brain.” The third answer was, “Began in 1958″
For me, that moment was a life-changing experience. I thought of this woman whom I had never met, who, more than forty years before, had begun, one bulb at a time, to bring her vision of beauty and joy to an obscure mountaintop. Planting one bulb at a time, year after year, this unknown woman had forever changed the world in which she lived. One day at a time, she had created something of extraordinary magnificence, beauty, and inspiration. The principle her daffodil garden taught is one of the greatest principles of celebration.

That is, learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at a time–often just one baby-step at time–and learning to love the doing, learning to use the accumulation of time. When we multiply tiny pieces of time with small increments of daily effort, we too will find we can accomplish magnificent things. We can change the world …
“It makes me sad in a way,” I admitted to Carolyn. “What might I have accomplished if I had thought of a wonderful goal thirty-five or forty years ago and had worked away at it ‘one bulb at a time’ through all those years? Just think what I might have been able to achieve!”
My daughter summed up the message of the day in her usual direct way. “Start tomorrow,” she said.
She was right. It’s so pointless to think of the lost hours of yesterdays. The way to make learning a lesson of celebration instead of a cause for regret is to only ask, “How can I put this to use today?”
Use the Daffodil Principle. Stop waiting…..
Until your car or home is paid off
Until you get a new car or home
Until your kids leave the house
Until you go back to school
Until you finish school
Until you clean the house
Until you organize the garage
Until you clean off your desk

Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married
Until you get a divorce
Until you have kids
Until the kids go to school
Until you retire
Until summer
Until spring

I was browsing Google and some social sites the other day, looking for information on online home-based business, and happened across some negative articles about online business and MLMs. I have been thinking about them ever since, and I decided to write an article or maybe two on this subject. I don’t want to write about the negative aspects of in-home business, but much more on the positive, because there is so much more positive. I want to honestly look at how to succeed in a home based online business.
As I stated earlier, I feel this article is more about success in the work from home industry rather than failure. People who succeed, succeed because of specific actions and choices. People who fail, also fail for specific actions and choices. People who seem to continually succeed have habits that they follow everyday, on a consistent basis. Likewise, people who seem to always fail have habits that they follow too.
In this article let’s take a look at the habits of successful people as well as the habits of those who seem to fail. There is an old saying that many people like to quote. The sad thing is they quote and do not understand its true meaning. The quote goes something like this and I am sure that you have heard it too. “The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer.” This is a very true statement and it really is a good thing. To succeed in business or in life you need to understand why this is a good thing. The reason that the rich keep getting richer, is because they keep doing the things that got them rich in the first place! The same is true of the poor! They keep doing the things that got them poor in the first place!
The number one lesson of success is that your must have a willingness within you to change. It really is very simple; just change what you are doing to make money. There is an old saying; if you keep doing what you’ve always done you will always get what you already have. If doing what you have always done could have gotten you rich, you would already be rich. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. So be willing to change.
The number two lesson of success is that you must take action! Making a decision to do something is the first step towards success. It amazes me how so many people will talk and talk about doing something different with their lives but never take the first step. Nothing will change in your life until you take action! Remember; if thinking the way you do could get you riches, you would already be rich! It all starts with your thoughts.
The third lesson of success is to be consistent! Once you make the decision to change, and once you take that first step, keep going, be consistent! Most people never take the first step because they are afraid of failure. All success is built on failure. We learn from our mistakes and failures. The key is successful people never give up! If you learn anything, then learn this, never give up! Learn from your failures and keeping moving forward.
The fourth lesson of success is to find a mentor and a proven system. In the online home based industry you can find both. When you truly find a mentor and a proven system, everything will be in place for you. Common business sense says to follow a proven system that has been proven to work. Why would you want to re-invent the wheel? The smart thing in life is to learn from someone else’s mistakes.
Success in an online home based business is a reality. And it is happening for many people who have made the decision to change their lives and who get up each day and work towards that goal. Find a system that is proven and be consistent with it each and every day. That’s what we did and it is working for us. I know it will work for you too if you just follow these steps and you too can have a successful online home based business!

The fastest way for you to get someone to say no to you, is to lead with your company and throw-up all over them. We have either been the one doing the puking or being puked on where each role leaves us with a bitter taste in our mouths. In order to be successful, we must never allow a person to experience our halitosis. Before you start marketing your business whatever it is, you must do your homework and find what makes you and your product unique.
A good place to start is by asking yourself the following questions about you and your business:
*How do you want to brand yourself? Branding is a way to differentiate yourself from the
competition and a way for your customers and prospects to remember you.
*What is your value proposition? We all make our economic decisions, our purchases, on some trade-off between value and utility, whether consciously or unconsciously. People have a choice as to whether they should buy your product or someone else’s. This is where you make your best case!
*Why should people do business with you? Do you and your product really matter? Prove it to me! Do you have other satisfied customers? Do you offer a guarantee or warranty? Am I going to get personal attention from you?
*What are your strengths as a marketer? This is just for you. Your business is going to grow as you grow, and that means trying new things! Most importantly, it requires you to be willing to truly stretch yourself!
Feel free to add any questions, but do not eliminate any. Each question is vital in getting to know your exceptional gifts.
After you have answered the above questions, now answer the following regarding to your product/service you offer.
*What is your product? Describe it in terms of the NEED you fill, which may be physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual – or some combination of any or all of these.
*Who is your target market? Be specific. What demographics define your market? Age/Income/Gender/Geographic. What other factors may be important?
*Who are your competitors? What do they offer?
What resources do they have at their command?
*Why is your product superior to the competition? Be honest! In fact, maybe someone is offering a better product, but you compete better on things like promotion, delivery, price, or just a personal touch! Did you know that very often it is the second-best product that gets the larger market share?
Answering these questions are the beginning to becoming a successful marketer. By answering these questions, you are now able to show your prospects why they should invest in you and how your product/service will benefit them. So now, rather than throw-up on a customer, lead with you, your brand. Make an authentic connection with people and you have won half the battle.
Remember whether you are marketing on the internet or using traditional lead generation tactics or both, remember to always lead with yourself first and your company second.

With a strong history in business development, and organizational operations, as well as sales training, Zach Slobin has a proven track record of connecting with people in way in which drives him and those he encounters to want to be better.
How many times have you heard that by marketing your MLM business on the Internet you will be able to recruit thousands into your organization without calling a single lead?
Well the fact is that the reason the Gurus use this approach in selling their membership, course, system or book is that they know… without a doubt… that picking up the phone and calling a lead scares the holy snot out of most folks.
However, I am here to tell you that if you truly want to be successful in your Network Marketing business… you must learn to get over your fear of calling leads. After all… you really know deep inside that anyone joining a business opportunity is going to want to get to know and trust the person they will be working with. And as the person they will be working with it is up to you to make contact… by phone… and make the personal connection, to build the rapport and trust that will seal the deal.
I know… I know… you understand it’s what you need to do but that doesn’t alleviate the fact that you are still scared to death of actually picking up the phone and doing it.
Well, you can rest easy now, because that is exactly what this article is about. How you can overcome your fear of calling leads… in fact… by this time next week you will actually be enjoying the process.
Here is your step by step approach to overcoming your phone fright.
Tip #1: Adjust your attitude
First of all most of us think that our goal is to call this lead and sell them on joining our opportunity. Your fears are well founded if you take this approach. Most of you won’t get very far into the phone conversation without a response of how did you get my number, I’m not interested, don’t call me again or just a slam dunk, hangup.
As I said… you need an attitude adjustment. First of all you must understand that you are not in the business of “selling anything”. “Huh”, you say, “of course I am, I’m selling a business opportunity in XYZ company or at least I am selling the XYZ amazing nutritional products.”
NO YOU’RE NOT! You are in the business of recruiting. You are looking for some good business minded partners to help you in your efforts to market the XYZ opportunity and to market XYZ’s amazing products.
So, with this attitude change… do you begin to see the difference in how it will feel to be able to interview your prospect as if he or she were applying for a job rather than you trying to sell them something? This puts you in the position of being the one to reject them rather than being rejected yourself. Just approaching your calls with this new attitude will give you more confidence. Whole different ballgame now, isn’t it?
Tip #2: Let them know you’re not selling anything.
With all the calls they may be getting they may already be weary of people calling and trying to sell them the latest, greatest product or opportunity. So start right out by letting them know you are not calling to sell them anything.
Hi, this is Dave, I’m calling because you requested information on a business opportunity… don’t worry, I’m not going to try to sell you anything, I just need to ask a few questions to make sure we get you the proper information.
Tip #3: Ask questions
If you have never read “How to Win Friends & Influence People”, by Dale Carnegie, it is a must read for anyone in the business of friendly persuasion. I won’t go into great detail about the book but will touch on the main focus. That is this; The thing that people want to talk about most is themselves. And the key to getting them to talk about themselves is this… ask questions… then shut up and listen.
I have a personal story that emphasizes this point. Shortly after I had re-read “How to Win Friends & Influence People” I was attending my oldest daughter’s wedding reception where there were many people I had never met. I decided to put the book’s methods to the test. The whole night I had conversations with people I had never met. I asked questions about them and even when they asked about me I gave them a short answer and then turned the conversation back to them, “but tell me more about your occupation, that sounds really interesting… etc.
The next week my daughter called and told me that everyone was talking about what a great conversationalist her father was. I had to chuckle because I probably hadn’t uttered any more than 5 sentences to any one person all night. I had just asked questions to draw them out and then shut up and listened.
So this is the surest way to build rapport and building rapport is the way to establish trust. Ask questions that relate to whether they would be a good candidate for your opportunity.
What do you do now? How long have you been doing that? What do you love about it? Have you ever been in business for yourself? Tell me more about that? Is your present income meeting your needs. Do you want to make a lot or a little?
I could go on but I’m sure you get the drift. This is an interview… not a sales call.
Tip #4: Have fun and Make new friends.
Now that you have your new attitude and have developed the confidence and posture that you have something they need… and they have to qualify to get it… you can really start to have some fun with calling leads.
When people see that you really care about what they want and what their needs are they will really start to warm up. Every call you make you should do it with the attitude that you want to make a new friend. Now this is important… you must genuinely care about whoever you are talking to… this is something you can’t fake. They will know if you are not sincere. If it is real it will come across on the phone.
When I made the attitude adjustment in my own lead calling… I immediately began having fun with my calls and instead of dreading lead calling I really started looking forward to that time of day I had set aside for calling leads. I was a headhunter looking to connect with a few qualified applicants. it became a game and it was fun to keep score because my signups started to increase rapidly.
Tip #5: Adjust your expectations
Now I’m not saying that you still won’t get a lot of rejections but here’s the deal… you will be rejecting them… not the other way around.
It still is a game of numbers and you will have to go through a lot of duds before you get to the studs. Soon, by asking the right questions, you will learn how to spot the the winners and separate them from those tire kickers who really won’t take the steps needed to change their circumstances.
So don’t expect to sign up every lead you call but you will find your attitude adjustment will help reel in more of those who do qualify and are truly looking for a way to better themselves.
Don’t spend a lot of time with those who would not enhance your business… get off the phone and back into the search for Mr. or Mrs. right. Once you have a good prospect… spend as much time as it takes to build that rapport and trust before you try to take them to the next level.
Tip #6: Always respect their time
Once you get past introducing yourself you should always ask if this is a good time for them. This shows that you respect them and know they have other things going on in their life.
Respect is another Dale Carnegie trait you need to develop if it is not already natural to you. Genuinely caring about people is a definite “Win Friends & Influence People trait.
If it is not a good time for them schedule a time for another call.
Tip #7: Practice…
I find it amazing that people will start a home based business and not take the first step in preparing themselves for their new occupation. Hello… think about any other profession. Most require schooling of some sort if there is any expectation of doing well in your occupation. Well it’s not any different in your home based business… learn all you can about your company and about the industry you are in. Study the presentations and even learn to do your own presentations.
This method has always worked for me. Whether it’s a Power Point presentation, a talk I’m going to give or just a telephone script… I write it down, record it on video or audio and then play it back over and over again. If you do this with your phone script it will become second nature to you and you will have much more confidence when on the phone with your prospects.
If you would like more information about phone scripts go to danijohnson.com. Dani is one of the best at recruiting on the phone and she has over 100 hours of free audio on her website.
So if you follow these 7 steps you will overcome your fear of calling leads. Not only that but you will begin to have fun calling them. That is when you will see your business begin to take off. The personal connection you will create with your highly qualified recruits will get you to the leadership ranks of your company and your bank account will start to swell like an over ripe melon in the hot August sun.
OK there it is… I have given you the solution to the fear of calling leads. Now it is up to you. Can you make the attitude adjustment that is needed to crank up your signup stats or will you continue to avoid the phone like the Swine Flu virus is plastered all over it?
One of the best direct routes to get you where you want go is through the telephone… You know it… you have always known it… now you just need to get started. Your future is totally up to you.
Live the Dream,
Dave Carter
